Senator Al Lawson reflects on significance of Veterans Day
Remembering and honoring those who served our nation
TALLAHASSEE, FL – Senator Al Lawson issued the following statement on today’s observance of Veterans Day, the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918:
“On this Veterans Day, let us commemorate those brave men and women who have served our nation in the U.S. armed forces. Many brave patriots have made the ultimate sacrifice for our liberty, and a grateful nation honors their memory. I urge all Americans to take pause today and pay tribute to those who have risked their lives for our freedom. Regardless of one’s political persuasion, today is one where members of all parties and ideologies can join together in celebrating the American soldier. God Bless our Veterans.”
